One of the most common questions we receive from guests is: how do I get from Venice Marco Polo Airport to the hotel?
Option 1: Alilaguna Water Bus (Most Scenic)
The Alilaguna water bus service connects the airport directly to Venice by water. Take the Blue Line (Linea Blu) which stops at Fondamente Nove, then it is a short walk to Campo Santa Maria Formosa and Hotel Palazzo Vitturi.
- Duration: approximately 75 minutes
- Cost: approximately 15 EUR one way
- Frequency: every 30 minutes
Option 2: Water Taxi (Most Comfortable)
A private water taxi takes you directly from the airport to the nearest canal stop to the hotel. This is the most luxurious option and the fastest by water.
- Duration: approximately 30 minutes
- Cost: approximately 110-130 EUR (fixed rate for up to 4 passengers)
- Tip: Our concierge can arrange a water taxi for your arrival
Option 3: ACTV Bus + Vaporetto (Most Affordable)
Take ACTV bus number 5 from the airport to Piazzale Roma (approximately 25 minutes, 10 EUR), then vaporetto line 5.1 or 5.2 to Rialto (approximately 20 minutes). From Rialto, the hotel is a 5-minute walk.
Option 4: Private Transfer
We can arrange a private transfer for you. Contact our concierge team and we will handle everything.
Our Recommendation
For first-time visitors, we suggest the water taxi for an unforgettable first impression of Venice from the water. For budget-conscious travelers, the Alilaguna is reliable and scenic.
Pro tip: Let us know your arrival time when you book, and our team will prepare your welcome drink on the campo terrace.
